Ticking the box will bring back the Whims feature in your game. To bring back Whims, go to Options > Gameplay > Show Whims. Contending with natural disasters, pollution, and traffic jams are just some the problems a city can encounter, and you can deal with it in whatever way you want. However, the feature wasn’t fully removed from the game it was just disabled along with the introduction of a new section in Game Options. All jokes aside, if you thought managing a big family household or town was a challenge, managing a city takes it to a whole other level. In The Sims 4, EA and Maxis doubled down on this, delivering a robust offering of ways to customize your Sim.
